About the Role
Are you interested in the fashion industry? This ground-level position as a tailor’s assistant will give you the opportunity to work with a wide range of garments and learn about their construction while allowing you to develop your skills at sewing. As you complete day-to-day alterations on customer clothing, you are also impacting the environment by helping customers to wear the clothing they already own longer.
WHILE EACH DAY IS DIFFERENT, YOU CAN EXPECT TO:
Complete hand sewing tasks such as sewing buttons, lace & beadwork, opening seams, and removing zippers
Use an industrial straight stitch sewing machine to hem pants
Work with others in a cheerful atmosphere
PAY RANGE: $13X - $17, based on experience and skill level.

Requirements
Minimum 1 year of sewing experience (2+ years preferred)
Good communication skills, able to give and receive feedback for improvement
Attention to detail is a must
The ability to work under time constraints
Excellent hand-eye coordination
